Professional Journey

Over the course of more than four decades, I have built a diverse and dynamic career in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning domestic and international markets. My professional path has taken me from frontline roles to senior leadership positions, including Vice President – Exports and Country Manager, with esteemed organizations such as GlaxoSmithKline, IPCA Laboratories, JB Chemicals, Indian Immunologicals, and Brilliant Biopharma.
I spent the first 20 years of my career with multinationals, where I was also entrusted with leading Training & Development. The latter part of my career included managing international business operations across the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America—based out of Jordan—and overseeing strategic growth in global vaccine markets. These roles gave me the opportunity to travel to over 40 countries and interact with clients and professionals from diverse cultures and markets.
Throughout my professional career, I was fortunate to receive world-class training in leadership, strategic planning, and cross-cultural business development. I’ve always believed in paying it forward. As a result, I’ve conducted corporate training programs, guest lectures, and orientation sessions in India and abroad, including at business schools and forums like FAPCCI, and for practicing doctors and healthcare professionals on topics like Emotional Intelligence, Transactional Analysis, and Adaptive Leadership.

Shift to Education and Capacity Building

In 2017, I co-founded the Sanjivani Career Academy (SCA), alongside Mrs. Sanjivani Tope, a respected academic leader with over three decades of experience as a principal. SCA was born out of our shared passion for mentoring the next generation—students, teachers, and institutions—by combining corporate discipline with educational insight.

As Director of SCA, I continue to focus on three core verticals:

• Career Counseling: We've successfully counseled over 1,000 students using our structured, psychometric-based process that assesses aptitude, attitude, personality, and behavior in under an hour. The feedback from students and parents has been overwhelmingly positive, appreciating the clarity and personal connection we offer.

• Faculty Development: We deliver dynamic, NEP 2020-aligned training sessions for educators. Our programs are rooted in emotional intelligence and practical methodologies that help teachers embrace their role as facilitators. The response from teachers has been heartening—they find the sessions both relevant and motivating.

• Teaching Audits: One of our most appreciated offerings, the teaching audit, helps institutions break free from the belief that there’s no room for improvement. Our audits provide schools with constructive insights that enhance academic delivery, strengthen student retention, and position them a step ahead of competition.

Other Involvements

In addition to my role at SCA, I am also actively engaged in corporate training as an associate faculty for organizations like KRUSHAR and STAR POWERZ, and have conducted workshops for banking professionals and mid-level managers.

What I’m Doing Now

• Career Counseling: At Sanjivani Career Architects, we provide empathetic and efficient career counseling. We use scientific psychometric tools to assess key dimensions like attitude, aptitude, personality, and behavior - all within 30 to 45 minutes. Our approach is non-intrusive and designed to make both students and parents feel guided, not overwhelmed.

• Faculty Development (as per NEP 2020):I believe today’s teachers must become facilitators of learning. Our programs focus on emotional intelligence, innovative teaching methodologies, and a reflective teaching approach. With award-winning and experienced faculty, we aim to support teachers in evolving with the changing educational landscape.

• Teaching Audits: I’ve seen how easy it is for institutions to believe their teaching methods need no improvement. Through our audits, we help schools and teachers uncover hidden gaps and optimize delivery, so they can retain and grow student strength and stay ahead of the curve.

My Philosophy

I consider myself a lifelong learner—always open to trying new things. Discipline, hard work, and a positive attitude have shaped who I am. I lead by encouraging the strengths in others, and I value accountability and practical thinking. My outlook has always been progressive, especially when it comes to adapting to new teaching methods and promoting scientific curiosity.

Beyond the Classroom

I’ve always believed in a well-rounded student life. That’s why I organized numerous workshops, sports events, one-act plays, music programs, and regular health camps for students. My passion lies in creating vibrant, value-based, and forward-thinking educational environments.

Personal Snapshot

I was born on August 12, 1955, to parents who were strong believers in humanist values. I am the youngest among five sisters and a brother. I’m happily married to Anant Tope, an accomplished pharma professional and entrepreneur. We are blessed with two wonderful daughters and two adorable grandchildren.
